• Everything Americans wanted or needed was made in America, by Americans who earned a living wage.
• Homes were constructed with pride and skill of durable materials such as stone, brick, concrete, plaster, tile and slate.
• Nearly everything else we needed was made of traditional materials such as wood, metal, leather, rubber, wool, cotton and silk.
