High Hopes
\n<\/b>We all have hopes and expectations. Unfortunately, life doesn’t always conform to our desires and we suffer the pain of frequent disappointment. It doesn’t need to be that way.<\/p>\n
My first major disappointment was the result of seeing a girl on a tennis court. My friend, Jimmy, and I had been wandering around the park looking for something interesting to do when I happened to glance over at the tennis courts, and there she was! Tall, slim, and the prettiest girl I’d ever seen in my life. In my small world, faces like hers usually graced movie screens and magazine covers.<\/p>\n
I stood stock still, frozen in place, unable to move. I was smitten. <\/i><\/p>\n
Turning to my friend I said, \u201cWow, Jimmy! Who\u2019s that?\u201d<\/i><\/p>\n
