The emphasis has always been on producing the best quality results. This takes a great deal of time, careful attention and skill. Now and then someone will ask, “Why bother?” This is why:

In converting an original 78-rpm record to CD, the stylus may skip one revolution. Although this can often be corrected, why bother?

• First, the client wanted the entirerecord preserved, not just part of it.
• And second, no one has ever asked for less than the best effort in the handling of their materials.

Converting an original videotape to disk requires using a computer to digitize the content of the tape. Since the tape could actually be transferred directly to disk more quickly, why bother making the extra effort?

• The digital video file provides control,and allows deleting unwanted material and adjusting picture quality.
• Additional copies may be made without further wear on the original tape.

Commercial photo services may work at a low level of resolution (clarity) that allows faster results. Why try to do better than that?

• First, highresolution processing produces better results, with details rendered more clearly.
• And second, highresolution also allows retouching options down to the size of a single hair.

 Restauranteur Bob Evans said, “We do it right – or we don’t do it!”
